Diverse Education Equals Unlimited Opportunities

With so much to do and learn, it's helpful to have options that can help kids stay engaged in their own education outside of school. By providing children with enrichment activities that will keep them engaged, happy and motivated, parents are giving them the tools they need to learn new things.

The Arts
Unlock creativity, expression, and confidence with the arts - a major source of enrichment and development for kids!

The arts are an invaluable source of enrichment for kids, and they can help your child develop in a variety of ways. The arts play a major role in education and overall development.

The arts provide an outlet for expression and creativity, which is essential for healthy mental health. They also develop social skills such as cooperation, communication, self-confidence and leadership—all through fun experiences! Kids learn to work together on creative projects that may include music or theatre performances; dance routines; painting murals; creating sculptures or mosaics; writing stories or plays.

In addition to these benefits of the arts in schools:

  • The National Endowment for the Arts found that children who take part in theatrical activities score better on standardized tests than those who do not participate.* Teens who attend fine arts summer camps show higher levels of confidence than those who don't.* Students involved with visual art programs were less likely to drop out of high school.* A study by researchers at University College London found that children taking part in music classes had better spatial reasoning skills compared with their peers who did not take part.* Studies have shown that children exposed regularly to music training exhibit improved verbal memory as well as increased brain size (especially so with boys).
Physical Activity
60 minutes of physical activity daily: Build strong bones & muscles, promote heart & lung health, help maintain healthy weight, and have fun!

Physical activity can help kids develop strong bones and muscles. "It's important for children to get at least 60 minutes of physical activity every day," says Dr. Michael Rich, director of the Center on Media and Child Health at Boston Children's Hospital. "This includes daily exercise, as well as games and other play."

Physical activity is also good for the heart and lungs—it helps kids breathe more easily, improves blood flow throughout their bodies, strengthens their muscles and bones, and helps them maintain a healthy weight.

Lastly, physical activity helps kids sleep better so they don't suffer from sleep deprivation or insomnia later in life! Also: Physical activities are fun! They give kids an opportunity to work on skills like coordination or balance while getting some fresh air outside (or inside). If your family loves playing sports together it's great too—just remember not everyone is athletic like you!

Community Service
Create and build on Empathy, Compassion, and Social Skills: Community Service for Kids

Community service is one of the most valuable enrichment activities you can provide for your child. It helps develop empathy and compassion, teaches them to be good citizens, makes them feel proud of what they've accomplished, and gives them a chance to work with other kids or on their own.

If you want your child to learn more about the world around them and how they can help others in need—and if you want them to develop social skills that are important for their development—community service is an excellent option!
